WalkingAudio trails are Apps or downloads, made by Monty Funk Productions, a UK company with many years of producing BBC programmes, and specialising in outdoor audio and video.
Presented as downloads or a specially designed App., each production is an audio journey, featuring some of the best walks of an area, together with visits to places that have made the area famous.
The Apps and download audio we produce are crafted and presented by enthusiastic walkers and professional broadcasters who guide the listener on the walks. The audio trails include other contributors who help to bring them to life and you will hear writers, conservators, wardens, historians, curators, dowsers, walking tour guides and all manner of experts.
All the WalkingAudio audio trails are in fact much more than an audio guide; they are packed with fascinating sound, unique hidden treasures, readings, interviews and a wealth of specialist knowledge from experts in the field.
Each production is very much a mixture of travel guide, local stories, history and background that lead you through the various featured walks and this carefully crafted mixture comes from the many guests our teams walk with and meet en-route. Together with their intimate knowledge, and more than a sprinkling of humour, they paint wonderful and exclusive 'images through sound' to be treasured.

WalkingAudio trails are not just about walking though; they are filled with practical information, ideas and places to visit for anyone wishing to visit the area - even if you stay in your car!
Also, each audio trail comes with fully illustrated graphics which can be incorporated into the audio trail App or downloaded as a PDF or used directly on your Smartphone so that you can take on the walk containing grid references, GPS points, photos and maps. There are 'Direct Access' marks throughout the graphics indicating which track to go to whilst planning a walk or if you want to use it as an audio guide on the walk itself.
